Inspired by the thousands of lakes in his native Finland, design legend Alvar Aalto’s fluid waves (“aalto” in Finnish) shape made quite a splash when it won the 1937 Paris World Fair. Since then, it’s become a timeless symbol of Scandinavian home design. The legendary Aalto vase seamlessly combines form and function. Each unique glass vase goes through a multi-step production process at the Iittala Glass Factory. The unique crystal is mouthblown then the pieces are hand cut before going through several polishings. A small, decorative vase in a versatile clear colour that makes a striking piece of home décor.
